12U Glaciers Take Ohio Crown

It was the battle of Ohio this past weekend. South Ohio Columbus team, Central Ohio Select verse North Ohio Youngstown team, Ohio Glaciers.  Last year’s USSSA Ohio State Champions, Central Ohio Select, verse last year’s Nations Ohio State Champions, Ohio Glaciers and CABA World Series Champions.  Both teams met in the championship game of the Nations State Qualifier tournament, IceBreaker Classic in Youngstown, OH.

Each team was coming into the championship game with 4 wins and 0 losses.  The Glaciers knew they had to execute near perfect defense and provide great pitching to defeat the strong Central Ohio Select team.  They not only accomplished that, but had several hits giving them a 5 run lead and defeated the Central Ohio Select team 6 runs to 1 run.

The Glaciers have posted 23 straight wins and 0 losses so far this extremely rainy season. The Glaciers will be attending the Michigan USSSA Super NIT this coming weekend and will be playing the powerhouse Michigan teams, such as The Motor City Hit dogs and Saline Stixx.
