13 East Cobb Astros 2011
The 13U SuperNIT field consists of 24 teams from Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and Florida. Predicting a winner for this event would be difficult. The team to beat is TBS SE #4 East Cobb Astros. They qualified to Elite 32 by winning the NC SuperNIT. TBS SE #8 Stixx (GA) have come so close finishing 3rd at both the Atlanta and Tallahassee SuperNITs. TBS SE #10 East Cobb Braves have already shown they have the talent to beat any team and has a pool game against the Stixx. TBS SE # 11 East Cobb Colt 45’s will have an interesting pool game against the Astros. Bama Ice is undefeated on the year at 9-0. Can they keep the streak going? BL Outlaws (AL) have reached the finals of the Alabama SuperNIT the past 2 years. Tanner Graham returns to the Outlaws after pitching in the Finals of the Alabama 4A State Championship earlier in the week. The Florida Mustangs have won 6 tournaments on the year and could be a sleeper. Fury Baseball(TN) is a team to watch closely as their lone blemish was to the EC 45’s. The CBA Cyclones had a nice run at last weeks MS SNIT but fell to eventual champion TBS #7 Dulins Dodgers in the SemiFinals. East Cobb Titans have a strong team that can hit top to bottom.
Any of the other remaining teams has the talent to punch their ticket to the Elite 32 at Disney’s Wide World of Sports.
Alabama: Hoover Bucs, Auburn Crush, Playmaker Baseball, South AL Outlaws, West Jefferson Jackers, Opelika Big Dogs
Georgia: MGBA Braves, GA Roadrunners, Chain Yankees, Sharon Springs Baseball, Academy Elite Dodgers, CV Scrambledawgs, C Stixx, Young Guns Baseball
Only 16 teams will advance to Sunday’s Championship round. The East Cobb Astros and CBA Cyclones have already received births to the Elite 32.
